Erykah Badu finally returns to the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith for her first UK show in 5 years – Organised by Neoluv, the concert professionals.
For one night only the city of London will be graced with one of soul music’s foremost visionaries. Badu is hailed not just as an incredible singer or songwriter, but also a producer in the broadest, most creatively generative sense. Badu’s voice draw comparisons to Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and, in particular, Billie Holiday. This is one artist who will never stop surprising us, musically, or otherwise.

Exclusive London Show Dates – Thursday 6th July 2017 & Friday 7th July 2017.

Often referred to as the Queen of Neo-soul, Erykah Badu is a multi Grammy Award winner having an outstanding career spanning over 20 years. In all, Badu has sold over seven million albums and won 16 awards from 57 nominations, including four Grammys. With hits such as On & On, Love of My Life, Window Seat, Bag Lady to name a few, Badu is not short of accolades.

This year celebrates the 20th year anniversary of Badu’s debut album, “Baduizm,” which arrived in 1997, finding fans with her bass-heavy R&B and her emotive, delicate vocals. In the 1998 Grammy Awards, Baduizm won Best RnB album and On & On won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. The album was produced by Massenburg and also featured members of the Roots on several tracks. Her first single, “On & On” topped the R&B charts, with the album also peaking at the top spot. The album also faired well in the mainstream pop charts going triple platinum, bolstered by high profile support slots with R&B stars as well as hip hop acts, including Wu Tang Clan.

Erykah Badu is a genius of our time and the rare chance to see her live is not to be missed. This is highly anticipated to be a music production like no other.
